Fixed · What we corrected

• •Ancestors could not be added. If you have completed Family Research, you may now add ancestors from any person, not only from the topmost generation.
• •Message recipients always came back as "no results", so nobody could be selected. You can now search by name, nickname or email address, and the space between family name and given name no longer matters.
• •That search message appeared in Korean on the Japanese screen.
• •Two family buttons were highlighted at the same time. For a member who married into the family, their birth family now comes first and their spouse's family appears as a separate button.
• •Half-siblings — children who share one parent but not the other — appeared joined by the same horizontal line. Each parent couple now has its own line.
• •Nieces and nephews did not appear on the chart. Even when a sister has married out, her children are now shown on the same chart.
• •Couples are ordered correctly again. A person whose sex is not yet registered was pushed to the far right, which left the current spouse standing outside the former spouse.

Added · What is new

• •When you add a family member from "Family Data", the relationship is now required. Once chosen, the person appears on the family tree straight away.
• •Anyone without a registered relationship is now listed together at the top of "Family Data". Tap a name to add their relationship on the spot.
• •You can now delete a person from their own page. Until now deletion was only possible inside the family tree, so anyone not shown on the tree could not be removed at all. If the person has children, a dotted placeholder card remains so the lineage stays connected.

• •Anniversary reminders sometimes arrived twice with the same content. They were being sent from the server used before the migration, which has now been stopped. From now on you will receive one message only.

• •We added this "Changelog" page. You can see what has changed on the site here at any time.
• •We added "How much does it cost to request family registers myself?" to the FAQ.

• •Anniversary reminder emails now include the recipient's name, the original date of the anniversary (with the Japanese era year) and our contact details.
• •At the top of the column "The cost of creating a family tree" we summarised the fee per family register document and a rough total per family line. We also added a note about the nationwide issuance system that began in March 2024.
• •In the column "Will half of all family lines disappear in 50 years?" we added what happens to graves and family registers when a family line ends, and what you can do now.
• •The FAQ section on the home page now shows a selected set of the questions we are asked most often.
