Our Commitment to Your Peace of Mind
As a service that holds your family's precious records, we would like to explain how we protect them.
We keep the language simple and explain the thinking behind how it works.
1. Your family's records are stored encrypted
Your family members' names, readings (furigana), addresses, phone numbers and email addresses (family contacts and invitees) are stored in encrypted form.
Encryption means converting information into a string that cannot be read without a key.
Even if the stored information were taken outside, it could not be read as it is.
The key needed to decrypt it is managed separately from the stored information.
2. Passwords are stored in a form that cannot be reversed
Login passwords are converted into a form that cannot be turned back into the original characters before they are stored.
For that reason, even we cannot see your password as it was entered.
3. All communication is encrypted
Communication with this site takes place over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
Even if you access the site from an address that starts with "http://", you are automatically switched to the encrypted connection.
4. Your family's records are never sent to external AI services
The AI Storyteller runs not on an external generative AI service, but in an environment managed by our company.
Your family's records are never sent to an external AI service.
5. Protection against unauthorized login
The login screen has a mechanism that detects automated attempts by programs.
If a password is entered incorrectly several times in a row, login becomes unavailable for a while.
This is a safeguard to make it harder for third parties to get in by trying again and again.
6. We back up your records every day
Your records are copied automatically every day, and several days' worth of copies are kept.
Even if a problem occurs, we can restore a previous state.
7. We review records of suspicious communication every month
We keep records of suspicious communication and review them every month.
What we notice, we use to make improvements.

We believe that no internet service can claim to be "absolutely secure."
That is why we keep records, carry out regular checks, and make improvements based on what we find.
When we review how our systems work, we will update this page as well.
